The best in town is at 1801 Central Avenue (3 minutes drive from the townhouse). Most days open 5AM to 8PM. If there is such a thing as a hip spot in Los Alamos, that would be it. Grab a sandwich from the Ruby K's cafe next door and sit outside for a view of the Main Street. Free WiFi.
A small, quiet, cozy coffee shop with a friendly stuff and a great selection of homemade chocolate goodies. Warning: Chocolate mousse is addictive! Free WiFi. 5 min drive to 149 Central Park Square townhouse. M-Fri 7:30AM to 5PM. Sat 11AM - 4PM.

Trinity drive, 2 min drive from townhouse. As far as I know, the only restaurant in town that is open till 12 AM. Trivia night on Mondays, Karaoke on Tuesdays.
Blue Window Bistro
813 Central Ave, 2 min drive. One of the local favorites for the nice atmosphere and great entries.
CO+OP deli
95 Entrada Drive, 5 min drive. Local natural and organic food store. The best place to shop if you are short on time. The store is small, but has everything one might need. Yummy healthy food. Deli Hours: Hot Bar and Salad Bar Monday thru Saturday 7am-8pm Sunday 8am-6pm Deli Counter 8am-6pm
El Parasol
Good, budget friendly Mexican food. 1903 Central Ave, 2 min drive.
Pyramid Cafe
Mediterranean food. 751 Central Ave, 2 min drive. Located at Mari Mac Village Shopping Center, across the parking lot from Pajarito Brewpub and Grill, between Blue Window Bistro and Daniel's Cafe.
Pasta Paradiso
1315 Trinity drive. 5 min drive. Pasta Paradiso is a pasta buffet style restaurant with four to five fresh pasta sauces, meatballs, ravioli, weekly specials such as lasagna, and a fresh salad bar.
China Moon
Central Park Square, 121 Central Ave. 5 min drive. Buffet. The better Chinese restaurant in town.
Daniel's Cafe/Mary's Gelato
Salads, sandwiches, burritos and home made gelato. 800 Trinity drive. 2 min drive.
Cafe Sushi
Many say it's the best Sushi they have tried. All food is delicious. Come early for lunch to avoid waiting for the table. 3801 Arkansas Ave, 7 min drive.

A new local favorite. Many Indian dishes. The food, made fresh by professional chefs, each morning, will be chilled and either delivered right to your door or held for pickup at Sirphey’s Deacon St location (VFW building). For the busy lunch crowd, Sirphey is providing fresh, hot takeout between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. For dinner, you would have an opportunity to pick a time slot during which refrigerated food will be delivered to your doorstep ready to be heated up at your convenience.LA Soup and specialty foods
